$2B in fed loans to cities slammed

OTTAWA -- The Conservative government has announced it will give up to $2 billion in loans to cities for infrastructure projects but critics have slammed the plan saying more debt is not what cities need right now.
Yesterday's announcement means cities that have already passed their 2009 budgets could still access low-interest loans for the upcoming construction
