The Black Informant on that 'racist' fried chicken joint
He writes:
If folks really had a problem with the name of this establishment, this chicken joint would be hurting in sales right now. But according to the owner, most CUSTOMERS (who are Black, btw) are still coming and many have actually told him that they like the name change. (...) What this all boils down to is something that Chris Rock touched on during one of his stand-up routines. According to him, there has been a war going on for years between two fractions in the Black community (listen to his routine at your own risk). And in my view, one side is consumed with disarming white folks of any homemade weapons manufactured on our side while the other side is too consumed with the ins and outs of life to care about the impressions of White folks.
