......Stephen did promise Senate Reform and possibly, just possibly, if we hadn't had coalition hysteria he would have brought in some measures to do so. Unfortunately with this new ball game about to take place next month he is probably trying to ensure that we don't get a Senate that is even more ineffective than the present Liberal Dominated Senate.
Oh, the Outrage!
Just a reminder to the Liberals and the other opposition parties: The Prime Minister is within his constitutional right to appoint Senators. Don’t begin to lecture anybody on “patronage appointments”, the “tossing of principles” and all the other hypocritical/derogatory statements you’re throwing around about the 18 Senate vacancies expected to be filled by
