Premiers McGuinty and Campbell boldly chose long-term economic good, despite inevitable short-term public anger. Their federal partners in sales tax harmonization seem to have weaker stomachs
ah. Is this some realization that this isn't just McGuinty?
Maybe I've red too much into this.
Like I said. Everybody knows, the funds have to come from somewhere. There is only one pocketbook in my er, pocket.
So we'll have to listen to the rhetoric coming from canada's new government about how there'll be no new taxes...
It appears to me, a "transfers replacement" program going on here. With the provinces getting a bigger share of provincial taxes, the feds don't have to gove the provinces as much, and won't have to raise taxes federally... as much anyway.
But taxes actually -will- have been increased. And you and I, have been "con jobbed"...
