No Surprises Here...

Toronto brings left-wing ideology to little kids' hockey

If you want to know what happens when you elect a sanctimonious, self-important left-wing dweeb as mayor, here's your answer.
Toronto is considering seizing control of ice-time allocation at city rinks, so that two close associates of Mayor David Miller, both up to their eyeballs in conflicts of interest, can have their way with a single local arena that won't give in to pressure from city hall and give more time to a favoured league.
The league in question, the Toronto Leaside Girls Hockey Association, plays at the Leaside Memorial Community Gardens, but wants time at nearby North Toronto Memorial Arena.  The city has almost 9,000 hours of unsold icetime at city rinks, but it's more convenient for the TLGHA parents to drive the short distance to Toronto Memorial, even if that means shafting the leagues that already depend on it. The TLGHA is threatening a human rights complaint unless it gets what it wants.
