Sad news from the music world today: George Jones, one of the all-time great voices in country music, has passed away at the age of 81.
Whether he was delivering a heartfelt, romantic love song perfect for a bride and groom's first dance, or an all-time classic tearjerker, you always knew that you were listening to "The Possum", and that he was born to sing.

RIP

THE MAJOR PROBLEM...

...the groups listed are potential users of goods and services and the advertising department has taken over the editorial department.

The Truth That Can't Be Spoken

Bill O'Reilly gets to the heart of the matter of why there's no end in sight for terrorism in the world today:

This unwillingness to publicly admit the truth about the root cause of most of the world's current terrorism is the norm amongst:
  • Leftists
  • Muslims
  • Academics
  • The Media Party
  • Politicians
  • Police Forces
  • Folks in Hollywood
  • Anyone who doesn't want to sideline their career/reputation
But until the problem can be openly discussed, how can it ever be solved?

Bedbugs are thriving in Toronto Community Housing, at 200 Wellesley.

I live in an apartment building that is privately owned and managed and their mantra seems to be to look after the needs of their tenants...they arranged, at the beginning of April, to have the entire building inspected by a private "pest control" company and this took three days. Tenants were responsible to provide access by moving furniture away from walls, etc.

The ludicrous aspect is that "bedbugs" do not have TTC Metro passes and a clean building is infested by new tenants or/and buying used furniture without intense inspection.

MEDIA MANTRA COMPLIANCE...

at one time compliance with the FIVE Ws of journalism held the same reverence as the Ten Commandments but the advertising department now sits on the editorial board!

Writing About Race

42 Movie
My daughter Claire, who’s 11, said to me the other day that she was disappointed to learn that the new movie about Jackie Robinson, 42, is rated PG-13. See, as if she wasn’t already just about the most amazing child ever to live, she’s a baseball fan, too, and she’s particularly fascinated by Jackie Robinson’s story. So she wants to see the movie, but was afraid she wouldn’t be allowed to because of the rating. I told her that it probably got that rating on account of some rough language, given the subject matter, and that maybe it would be okay for her to see it. Let’s wait and see some of the reviews first, I said.
But, see, here’s the thing. I’m not really all that concerned about the PG-13 rating or the language. She’s a smart kid, and I don’t believe in shielding her or her brothers from reality. As long as they’re mature enough to handle it – and she is – I want them to know the truth about this country we live in.

I lean to the right but I still have a heart and if I have a mission it is to respond to attacks on people not available to protect themselves and to point out the hypocrisy of the left at every opportunity.MY MAJOR GOAL IS HIGHLIGHT THE HYPOCRISY AND STUPIDITY OF THE LEFTISTS ON TORONTO CITY COUNCIL. Last word: In the final analysis this blog is a relief valve for my rants/raves.
