Judge gives the boot to the king of the suit
KIRK MAKIN
From Tuesday's Globe and Mail
The king of vexatious litigation -- a Brampton paralegal with a passion for launching lawsuits -- has been dethroned. But only after fighting his 73rd lawsuit in the past 10 years.
An Ontario judge has ordered a stop to Joseph De Teresi's record run of litigation: a blizzard of legal paper that targeted everyone from clients and landlords to banks, law firms, credit agencies and computer companies.
"I am satisfied that Mr. De Teresi is a vexatious litigant," Madam Justice Bonnie Wein of the Ontario Superior Court said.
"He can no longer be permitted unrestrained access to courts in Ontario."
Let's go after Harry Capito next.......
