CHRISTINA BLIZZARD'S View On Transit Spending

I agree on two things; 1) That there are alternative routes with a higher priority and I am partial to an Eglinton subway or finishing that white elephant called the Shepherd Subway. 2) That it would be nice if the city could put more money into the operating costs of the TTC by the province taking responsibility for non-property tax services and that the Toronto Transit Commission not have any politicians with voting power on the commission. Further TTC Management would be on yearly performance contracts...

$700M ON THE WRONG TRAIN

The chair of the TTC also has different views of how the money should be spent and it is more in line with Christina's view but it would mean putting money into the hands of Toronto politicians and based on their fiscal ineptness Ottawa might be reluctant to give them the keys to the candy store OR maybe Harper remembers the support he got from Miller and the left wing cabal on Toronto City Council.

Is subway really the better way?
