After watching Liberal hijinx unfold over the last few weeks, I have realized that if I had to use a single word to describe what Dion is doing potentially walking into the next election the word I would use is “safe” and if I had four, it would be “safe to a fault”.
You have two very solid left of center candidates that could easily take away NDP ridings in Toronto in Bob Rae and Gerard Kennedy. The first thing that sprang to mind for me was if the Liberals truly want the “left vote” what better way then to behead the NDP party by running Rae in Jack Layton’s Toronto—Danforth riding and then tossing Kennedy into Olivia Chow’s Trinity–Spadina riding.
