Miller's tax plan gets thumbs down

56% reject land-transfer levy to make up budget shortfall

Mayor David Miller and his supporters face an uphill battle when it comes to selling their plan to impose a hefty land transfer tax.

A Sun Media-Leger Marketing poll found that 56% of Torontonians reject the proposed land transfer tax that will be up for approval at city council on Oct. 22.
