Shotgun fired at tot party

By ROB LAMBERTI

A 25-year-old illegal immigrant from the U.S. faces numerous firearms-related charges after blasting a shotgun during a dispute at his daughter's christening party.

Toronto Police say a man got into an argument with his 11-month-old girl's grandfather around 8 p.m. Sunday at the Calypso Hut Restaurant on Victoria Park Ave. at Sunrise Ave. in Scarborough.

The man was booted out of the restaurant, grabbed the firearm and fired a blast. One woman was injured by flying glass while another female was hit in the leg with a pellet that didn't break the skin, police said. Story
