Here's an interesting conundrum on Haiti:

The Guardian reports that the cruise line, Royal Caribbean International, which leases a private peninsula from the Haitian government for a luxury resort, elected to continue sending in the Independence of the Seas as scheduled despite appreciating the poor optics of fatcat westerners partying while bodies were being stacked up a few miles away.

The company was in something of a bind. The resort employs hundreds of Haitians, whose desperation for jobs is only increased by the devastation. And the cruise ships can be used to deliver food and other supplies.
