Court ruling on the niqab
Court compromises on niqab
A balancing of competing rights
Fri Oct 15 2010
Canadians have a constitutional right to a fair trial, but not to expect that Muslim women must take off their niqabs before testifying in court.
I would think that in order to create that balance that all people of all faiths should be extended the right to hide their identity, for all students to be able to carry ceremonial knives to school, that all construction workers be allowed to wear turbans, etc.
