The police protect the "lawbreakers" because of politicians not having the balls to stand up to designated groups when they break the law; indian sitins and occupations, obscene acts during Gay Pride Parade, protest marchers impede drivers and pedestrians, illegal actions on reserves, etc.

In an extensive interview in the Toronto Sun, OPP Commissioner Chris Lewis not only defended police actions (inactions?) during the 2006 Caledonia crisis, but says there were also great successes that are never talked about.
