26 councillors sign up after current chair Moscoe decides not to seek new appointment

City councillors are clamouring to get a seat on the Toronto Transit Commission.
Of 44 councillors, 26 have put their names in for one of nine spots on the transit body, according to a list released at city hall yesterday.
The elevated interest comes amid a surprise move by long-time TTC chair Howard Moscoe who has decided not to throw his name in as a commissioner.

Action Of City Councilors Say It All About Moscoe
They are just clamouring to sit on the TTC Board now that they don't have to put up with the arrogance of Howard Moscoe. He conned the voters but not his fellow councillors. But if the mayor appoints Mihevic to the chairman's position they will find Moscoe was a treat........
