Think of those who serve us
Think of those who serve us
By GORDON MacFARLANE
In exactly one week, most Manitobans will wake up and celebrate Christmas. In homes where Christmas is observed, mistletoe will hang, trees will be trimmed and children of all ages will positively glow with anticipatory glee. Where possible, families will gather together to remind themselves of their blessings by spending time with them. At this very special and holy time of year, each of us regardless of faith can give thanks for family.
Throughout the season, as we come together in fellowship, it is important we recognize those who serve others during the holidays. We remember the police and firemen who help keep us safe, the medical personnel, home care workers and other support staff who do what needs doing and this year, in our prayers, we must remember the soldiers.
