Party mom who let kid die to be freed Tuesday

The bar-hopping mother who salsa-danced the night away while abandoning her 2-year-old daughter to die alone of dehydration will be freed on statutory release Tuesday, Sun Media has learned.

Clara Da Silva, 27, has served two of the three years of her prison sentence for the death of her daughter Adrianna, making the killer eligible for statutory release and freedom for the final year of her sentence.

Adrianna was left alone for 33 hours in sweltering heat at their North York apartment in September 2002.

Her mom left her baby unattended to "meet a man whom she had fallen for and was desperately trying to become intimate with him but to no avail," according to a parole document obtained by Sun Media.

"You were clearly a selfish ... individual who felt justified to enjoy herself at the expense of her daughter's welfare," the document stated.

"The (National Parole) Board found you to be somewhat remorseful ... but still immature and prompt to justify your actions," the document said.

The Board denied the killer mother's bid for day parole in September 2006 but now she will be released from an undisclosed facility -- believed to be in the GTA -- with several conditions.
