What a load of crap! They were taken captive in order to generate media coverage which they accomplished and will probably gain a few more supporters from the left but IMHO we need to ask ourselves two questions:
1) Where was the sailor's backup?
2) Would the problems existing in the middle east have been lessened if Iran has been invaded when they held the US embassy staff hostage.
