Are you as befuddled by the concept of political correctness as I am?
Over the years, I have been chastised by friends and family for saying or doing something that was considered politically incorrect. Each time, I failed to understand how I offended anyone with my words or actions. I honestly felt that my comments were inoffensive.
Our collective concern with political correctness is inhibiting our willingness to offer constructive ideas on important issues for fear of offending someone.
This month, Canadian Press reported on three issues that particularly puzzled me.
An Internet Fisherman who uses barbless hooks and this one dimensional world as a way of releasing the frustrations of daily life. This is my pond. You are welcome only if you are civil and contribute something to the ambiance. I reserve the right to ignore/publish/reject anon comments.
