A schoolteacher and principal were charged with assault with a weapon yesterday after what police allege were several incidents of corporal punishment at a private school.

The victims, according to police, were seven students of Old Colony Christian School in Aylmer, all 9 or 10 years old.

Yes! The kids were not victims, for heavens sake! They were bratty kids who needed to be calmed down in the most effective way possible. And I’m not surprised it was done in a hard-core Mennonite school… the Mennonites of Northern Ontario have not been exposed to the touchy feely victim culture of the rest of North America.

Seriously, by the tone of the article, you’d think they were stoning girls in the school yard.
