Let's Discuss The Messenger's Concept Of The Problem
I have on a number of occassions expressed my view that the Mayor Of Toronto should be given more power but only if the shareholders have the power to fire him with cause if he goes against the wishes of the majority of the shareholders and the directors. This is what would happen in a large corporation and if Palacio's column highlighted nothing else it would be his comment; "When it comes to mayors of Toronto, a lack of power has never been a problem. A lack of accountability and consultation has been." it highlights the problem at Silly Hall.
