Follow Up To Attack On Common Law

Barbara Hall is dangerous and loopy

She is a loopy leftist who seems to want tocrush freedom and impose her own views on Ontario. her lateste rant is truly astounding. The right to confront one's accuser goes back to Roman times. Having your face covered in court is fundamentally unfair to the accused. Unless it is for exigent circumstances. This Calgary herald piece has it right.

Human rights panel loopy
CALGARY HERALDMARCH 3, 2009
Three strikes and the Ontario Human Rights Commission should be out.

Unfortunately, it's still up at bat and swinging wildly at every pitch that comes its way.Recently, the commission had the gall to criticize provincial court Judge Norris Weisman for ordering a Muslim woman to remove her niqab, a veil covering all but her eyes, while testifying at her own sex assault trial in Toronto. The commission claims Weisman violated the woman's freedom of religion. The commission should keep its nose out of the courts, despite chief commissioner Barbara Halls' outrageous statement that"the commission can offer the court assistance and expertise in . . . discrimination based on creed or religious belief."Witnesses' facial expressions are important, for they can reveal when someone is lying. Besides, as Weisman noted, the woman removed her veil for her driver's licence photo. The commission is equally out of line in its pursuit of St. Catharines'gym owner John Fulton, who refused a pre-operative transgender individual a membership at his women-only gym.Its time to fire hall and her fellow thought police. They are a dnager to liberty

My photo
I lean to the right but I still have a heart and if I have a mission it is to respond to attacks on people not available to protect themselves and to point out the hypocrisy of the left at every opportunity.MY MAJOR GOAL IS HIGHLIGHT THE HYPOCRISY AND STUPIDITY OF THE LEFTISTS ON TORONTO CITY COUNCIL. Last word: In the final analysis this blog is a relief valve for my rants/raves.
