There is an interesting story in the Wall Street Journal, (which they will actually let you read without having to pay) about Barack Obama trying to sell his stimulus policies in the communities they were meant to help.
It notes he was in western Michigan on Thursday, in a region virtually afloat on stimulus dollars. Michigan is one of the hardest-hit states in the country and Washington poured in the money. It’s union territory, after all, and a Democratic president has to try to keep the unions sweet.
