Is there the political will to deal with poverty?
Thanks to NDP MPPs Cheri DiNovo and Jonah Schein for caring about the fact that people are forced onto the streets or to choose between shelter and food
The proroguing of the legislature is one more sign that this Ontario government, just like the Harris Tories, has no concern whatsoever for the poverty it helped to create.
I wonder what the chances are that with or without the proroguing, the McGuinty Liberals would have acted on any recommendations of the Social Assistance Review Commission.
