Doesn't expect lavish xmas gifts but she thinks she is undeserving of any gift, her gift to you will be something practical (socksd, scarf, toque, Maple Leaf sweater...) you can usually confide in her and get a sympathetic ear, she is the conduit for updates on "your family," is usually the second face you will see after your operation...
