Hundreds attend pro-Israeli demonstration in Toronto
TORONTO - A tension-filled demonstration denouncing the current
Israeli-Palestinian conflict in Gaza hit downtown Toronto Sunday with
pro-Israeli protesters accusing Hamas of ignoring recent declarations of
a ceasefire.
Thousands of pro-Israeli demonstrators - many hoisting blue-and-white Israeli flags - gathered at Queen's Park to protest what they called punitive aggression on the part of Hamas. They blamed the militant Palestinian group for perpetuating the deadly conflict which has been raging since early July.
