'Closet' Ford supporters can finally speak
By SUE-ANN LEVY, City Hall Columnist
No sooner had my column about George Smitherman been posted online Saturday night, did I get an e-mail from a reader living in my St. Paul’s neighbourhood.

Pantalooney Hit The Nail On The Head...
...Snivelman has a political record. Five years at Queens Park and he was in charge during the eHealth disaster, made light of the plight of seniors in provincial nursing homes, putting windmills in voter's backyards and fully supporting Dulltoon No New Taxes McGoonty.
Smitherman shows his true colours at debate: Levy
By SUE-ANN LEVY, City Hall Columnist
The man who so desperately needs to be Toronto’s next mayor he’s been cozying up to politicians on the left and the right showed his true colours at a mayoralty debate Wednesday evening.
...the following is probably the reason Snivelman was so pissed off at debate officials;
Health report stirs up mayor’s race
The eHealth scandal that has dogged George Smitherman intensified with the release of a report by the auditor-general revealing more spending and procurement improprieties during the former Ontario health minister’s tenure.
Smitherman fends off attacks in final debate

Chris Selley’s Full Pundit: George Smitherman — too svelte to be mayor of Toronto?
WEEKEND ROUNDUP
More than you wanted to know about the Toronto election
In a distinctly un-Globe and Mail-like article that editors briskly disappeared from the Interwebs, Stephen Marche attempts to argue earnestly that Toronto mayoral candidate Rob Ford’s appeal is directly related to “the mounds of fat that encircle [his] body like great deflated tires of defeat.” (That’s in the lede!) That’s just silly: Is there any reason to believe a thinner version of Mr. Ford wouldn’t be in the position he’s in now? Answer: No. You might as well attribute his success to his DUI conviction. Marche has a more interesting, though scarcely more coherent, argument about post-Industrial Revolution waistlines and diets, but it’s severely compromised by all the unkind references to Mr. Ford’s girth. They encircle his column like great deflated tires of defeat. Read More »

The Star Supported Martin, McGoonty And Comrade Miller...
...so their choice is no surprise. But you have to wonder if they used the disasters known as eHealth, poor understanding of the woes of seniors, windmills as a solution to energy problems, etc. in describing Depends Snivelman's character?
Star's choice: Smitherman for mayor Sun Oct 17 2010
George Smitherman is the only candidate with the political skill, commitment to change, compassion, drive and determination to be an effective mayor.

It is incorrect, indeed insulting, to say that those supporting Rob Ford are the Canadian cousins of American yahoos in the Tea Party movement.

MUST READ! Change Will Not Happen Unless...
...voter turnout increases dramatically north of Bloor Street. The waterfront condo owners, ndp island sqatters, social in-activists, unions, artsy/fartsys, and others that feed at the public trough are well organized and make sure they get the vote out to protect their self interest.

By SUE-ANN LEVY, Toronto Sun
After throwing everything in the sink, Rocco Rossi realized he wasn’t able to move the dial enough to show real momentum.
Going for the leftwing vote conditioned by Comrade Miller and Dulltoon McGoonty to expect a place at the trough; ie: social in-activists, waterfront condo owners, ndp island squatters, environuts, artsy/fartsy, city hall square squatters, beggars, cyclists, etc.

Boardwalk Pub suit haunts Ford
By JOE WARMINGTON, Toronto Sun
It’s time to put up, shut up or say you’re sorry. That is what this lawsuit by Boardwalk Pub owner George Foulidis against Councillor Rob Ford is really saying.
Showdown at the Boardwalk Café: Tuggs owner gets an earful from local candidate
There are many reasons readers might be familiar with Sandra Bussin, councillor for Beaches–East York. Some may remember the time she called in to John Tory‘s radio show and called him a “three-time loser.” Others will remember her part in getting the city to renew a monopoly agreement with the Boardwalk Café, the only business permitted to sell food and drinks on the beach in the city’s east end. The cushy deal made against the advice of city staff (where have we heard that before?) guarantees that the restaurant won’t face any competition until 2028. Well, yesterday, the issue blew up in the open as a local candidate challenging Bussin argued with the owner of the Boardwalk Café, George Foulidis.

Rob Ford's tax hike: Granatstein
By ROB GRANATSTEIN, Toronto Sun
Rob Ford will raise taxes. He’s firm on it.

Who’ll save our city from the Hun Rob Ford now that he’s surged to a seemingly insurmountable lead in the latest public opinion poll?
...cheapshot! Even the mariginally illiterate know that comparing an individual to "Hitler" or countless other historical scoundrels is an act of desperation. I am surprised that the editors of NOW would allow it.

Manipulating Facts And Figures Much Different Than Broken Promises...
...something "No New Taxes" McGoonty did during his first term and the left still gave him a second term. With Ford while he may get the figures wrong he is usually right on the basic premise that the voters of Toronto have been getting screwed for years; St. Clair Right Of Way, Wychwood Barns, elite homeless shelter, no tendering process for Beaches, paying legal fees for councilors, no balls union negotiating, etc. etc.
