Pitfield Performance Improving Greatly
posted by Tor Poli @ 9:17 AMFrom Royson:
She's on her third campaign manager and there's still little evidence of momentum building behind her drive to unseat David Miller as mayor. But in her first major policy release on how she'd do the job differently, Councillor Jane Pitfield has created some separation between herself and the incumbent on the important matter of the city's financial mess. [...]On Wednesday, on John Oakley, Pitfield was bang on in her responses, not straying from her message (which she has been wont to do) and clearly expressing her wedges against Miller.
Pitfield has improved, but she had to. There yesterday to talk about the city's finances, she managed to steer clear of other matters that would take her off message. A few months ago, she would have gone off on several tangents. If anything, yesterday she needed to provide more details about how she would fix the city's mess.
If she can pull in the financial and campaigning support that a successful mayoral race needs, she could be elected. Miller will hunker down over the next 60 days, but will still be getting daily media coverage just by doing his job. Pitfield is in tough, but she's in.

Let's Start Thinking, Talking, Promoting Pittfield
And maybe we can make some changes at city hall.
