Although there are people who will turn the facts into a demonization of No Plan B Comrade David Miller.......
Hey Mayor Miller!!! |
You sure know how to run a city!!! Between your weak as water threats that essential services will be cut back, and Adam Giambrone's threats of no Subway service in the North end of the city. (Yes Mr. Mayor, Toronto does extend north of Bloor!!) an 11 year old is killed in your city. And as usual, you pass the buck. It's like you just realized it's a provincial election year, and you're making up for lost time. Pathetic politicking at its best.
Mr. Mayor, you couldn't pour water out of a boot with instructions printed on the heel. You are a spineless little worm deserving nothing but the profoundest contempt. You had 4 years to get the city in order, and the wheels are now starting to fall off because of your mismanagement. I can't wait to see the international headlines when Toronto does finally declare bankruptcy, and there you are crying that it's all the provincial and federal governments fault. Because the only way you know how to get money is, tax the hell out of your constituents.
It's time the cities pulled away from this asinine amalgamation that has been nothing but a disaster. Let North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke go back to running balanced budgets and sane cities while yours flounders and sinks.
Toronto Mayor David Miller called Sunday for tougher gun laws after a spate of late-night shootings left an 11-year-old and two others dead in unrelated incidents.
“It's very clear that gun violence is connected to the ownership of guns,” Mr. Miller told the media.
“Handguns are still allowed to be owned in Canada, and they're stolen from owners and used in crimes.”
The 11-year-old boy was shot in north Toronto about midnight Saturday. He was rushed to hospital with serious gunshot wounds and later died.
Police later identified the boy as Ephraim Brown.
Detectives are trying to determine the motive. Ephraim was apparently shot near a home full of children attending a birthday party, although police said it's unclear if the young victim was a guest.
No arrests have been made and no weapons have been recovered.
“In my view, it takes nothing more than an animal to be able to perpetrate such a crime on such a young victim,” Toronto police inspector Greg McLane said.
