WHAT IS ENICH'S PROBLEM?

NYC Police Commission Bill Bratton is going to participate in the upcoming St. Patrick's day parade!
Why is this news? Because by doing so he'll be hurting other people's feelings:

"To have someone who is in charge of the safety of this city march in a parade that is breathing hate...is an extremely giant step in the wrong direction," said Eunic Ortiz, president of Stonewall Democrats.

In what conceivable sense, you might wonder, is the St. Patrick's Day Parade "breathing hate"?

The parade does not allow groups bearing signs or banners identifying them as gay or lesbian to march.

Maybe that's because it's not the "St. Patrick's Day Gay Pride Parade." New York City already has an annual Gay Pride Parade, one that runs down the same street -- Fifth Avenue -- as the St. Paddy's parade, and draws millions of spectators.
