A Clear Message To Obama From OUR Leader..
Kelly McParland: Harper delivers timely oil warning to Washington’s warring factions
Stephen Harper sent a none-too-subtle shot across the bow of our American friends and allies Monday when he indicated he’s dead keen on selling Canadian oil to buyers in Asia. He didn’t put it in so many words, but he was telling Washington this: “You don’t want our oil, no problem. We’ve got lots of markets across the Pacific where we don’t have to beg to get a sale.”
It was a timely message and a good one for the Prime Minister to send. There is no need to be rude to the U.S., which is and always will be Canada’s best market. But there’s also no need to sit around and wait for the political circus in Washington to pause long enough to recognize the attractiveness of the opportunity Canada is offering. Given the state of absurdity that has the U.S. capital in its grip, there’s no telling how long that could take. Read More »
Prime Minister v. President:
Harper appeared to marvel at just how tied an American president’s hands are, not just by constitutional checks and balances, but with bureaucrats, cabinet secretaries and senior advisors all weighing in to counter or contradict actions a president may wish to take. A Canadian prime minister with a majority and cabinet government has much more room to act, he said..."

FINALLY A Glimmer Of Hope For Ontario Voters...
Step 1: Hudak steps down and calls for one the elected conservatives to do so as well..
Step 2: Pressure McGoonty to Call An Immediate byelection.
Step 3: Hudak calls for a leadership convention.
Step 4: Kick provincial liberal butt.
John Ivison: Rocco Rossi’s political conversion hits Liberals where it hurts
Rocco Rossi clearly agrees with former British Labour leader Neil Kinnock’s belief that loyalty is a fine quality but, in excess, it fills political graveyards.
After all, this is the man who was the Liberal Party of Canada’s National Director; a man who claims Pierre Elliot Trudeau as his political hero and one who was instrumental in bringing Michael Ignatieff back to Canada. The former Toronto mayoral candidate has spent the past 30 years working on various Liberal campaigns and, until Tuesday, has never shown any love for the Conservatives. He even claimed John Tory made a mistake becoming leader of the Ontario PCs because “the Red Tory party that formed John doesn’t exist anymore.”
But while he believes it was the wrong party for Mr. Tory, he is less dogmatic when it comes to his own political leanings. Read More »

The Tory leader remains the great unknown of Ontario politics and yet remarkably popular. Will his ‘enough is enough’ platform take him to the premier’s office?

Sky is Falling
American conservatives are discovering that by confronting the left directly, in open intellectual warfare, they can win. The day of the appeasing, cowed, double-talking conservative "may" be coming to an end, at least in America:
Let this episode be instructive to all who witness it. The noise and bluster we see from these pre-fab sign-holding, flag-waving malcontents is the beginning and end of their argument. As soon as any intrepid citizen-journalist engages these pre-programmed agitators with a question or two, they reveal emptiness and contradictions as quickly as Sky did.
I’ll give this polite yet confused Obama supporter credit where credit is due: At least he didn’t call me a homosexual like his peers in Chicago did.
