Sometimes the federal government does things right -- and cutting the $4.7-million PromArt program seems one of them: It's the plan whereby (relatively) small subsidies are awarded to select artists and others to travel abroad in hopes they'll advertise and benefit Canada.

The very fact that Harper's government outright lied to the Canadian public about this is very telling. And the fact, that you swallowed it.
When you dig down deeper, and realize how these programs work, you may develop a different opinion.
I know, you love the battle cry of the 'leftists at the public trough'.
Unfortunately, facts get in your way. Not that that really concerns though.
