Dion Proposes New Holiday

National Don't Offend Old Folks Day

I hope when I’m old (which is any minute now) I’m not hypersensitive about being called old.

Stéphane Dion issued a release on Wednesday heralding International Day of Older Persons

“On behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada, I would like to extend my best wishes to all of Canada’s seniors on International Day of Older Persons.”

"International Day of Older Persons?" You mean seniors? Could they go out of their way to be any more correct? Older than what? Unfulfilled Liberal campaign promises?

I couldn’t help noticing that neither Jack Layton or Stephen Harper issued similar declarations. Watch for it next week:Tories, NDP hate old people, Liberals charge. “Mr Harper must resign!” demands Dion.

Last word: In the final analysis this blog is a relief valve for my rants/raves.
