You Can Find Racism Everywhere ... If You Insist Upon It
American radio talk show host, Dennis Prager, featured this column on his show this morning. Entitled "Black, Female and Single", it was written by a graduate student named Angela Stanley. It starts off quite harmlessly:
FEW things in life are more irritating than the unsolicited comments I get that black women, like me, are unlikely to marry. Family members ask, “Are you ever going to get married?” as if I am remaining single purposely to keep them from attending my wedding. Well-meaning married friends try to sell me on the idea that being single is liberating. And then there is my octogenarian aunt whom I love, but who also manages to unintentionally sucker punch me whenever I visit with the comment, “Maybe if you’d just straighten your hair you’d be able to find a man.”
Note that Ms. Stanley is mostly referring to the comments of her family members, especially her elderly aunt. One would naturally assume that these people are African-Americans.
A bit further down her column takes an insane left turn:
So why all of the negative attention on black women? It is part of a persistent historical and present-day attack on black people in America, with black men made into deviants and black women into problems.
Huh?!? How on earth did the comments of her Black relatives get transformed into a "persistent historical and present-day attack on black people in America" by Caucasians?!? The answer to this question may very well lie in Ms. Stanley's research interests: race, gender, American politics, and public policy.
This is Example #57,349 of how the brainwashing of the Religion of Leftism has replaced Logical Thinking throughout academia.

When the government finally stamps out the violence roiling across the United Kingdom, a Tin Ear Award should be immediately given to Theresa May, British Home Secretary. Under pressure to explain why police in London hadn’t deployed water cannons against the mob, May scoffed at the very notion. “The way we police in Britain is not through use of water cannon. The way we police in Britain is through consent of communities,” she told reporters. She has also fretted about using too much force against the mob, saying that Britons enforce the law in the courts, not on the streets.
Nice sentiment (if one that her boss, Prime Minister David Cameron, quickly overruled). May’s position is appropriate for run-of-the-mill crimes against property and persons. But riots aren’t simply criminal acts, but threats to the security of the state. They should be treated as such. Read More »

Welcome to the world of euphemisms.
A riot erupts in Tottenham in London, England. Within days copycat violence occurs throughout the country.
Yet, instead of genuine analysis, we hear about a man shot by the police being “a father of four,” of the rioters being “angry at cutbacks,” and of “years of racism and police brutality.”
I was born a short distance from Tottenham and it was the area of my social life all through my teenage years. I know this place, know the people who live there, and have seen the overwhelming decay of what was always a rough area, but not the hellhole it has become.
Let’s cut the politically correct garbage immediately and speak truth to power.
The overwhelming majority of the young punks who began the rioting, fighting, looting and burning were black. That is truth, not racism.
Remember, though, many of the victims were black, too.
For goodness sake, simply look at the pictures with your own eyes. Tottenham has been a largely black area for more than a generation now, with the traditional population still there but in a minority.
Unlike the U.S., Britain does not have exclusive ghettos.
Places like Tottenham, Hackney, Brixton and most of the other areas hit have enormous black communities, but they live alongside whites. This is why you will also see white kids on the periphery of the trouble.
To provide some context to all this, the last time Tottenham rioted 30 years ago, a young policeman was murdered. His killers admitted later they intended to decapitate him and run around the area with his head.
Yes, these areas are poor and rundown, but the immediate cause of the first riot was the shooting of a member of a notorious and sadistic drug and murder gang. He was shot by the police’s Operation Trident team, risking their lives to stop black-on-black gun crime, while trying to help people on housing estates run by drug dealers and killers, who exploit their own people and torture and shoot for the flimsiest of reasons.
There is no political agenda here, in spite of what white, liberal, guilt-soaked journalists and politicians might try to tell you. The truly poor do not communicate their poverty on expensive cellphones, do not steal giant TVs because they are starving. Britain enjoys free schooling, health care, welfare and a plethora of public services.
The recent cutbacks are minimal. Disregard the propaganda. While extremist agitators are trying to take advantage of over-stretched police and social instability, the people who began all this were thugs.
They are the offspring of broken families, who cannot control their appetite for fathering children with numerous women, who shoot rivals and innocent people with indifference, and who define themselves by how much vulgar jewelry they wear and how much fearful “respect” they receive from law-abiding neighbours.
They are joined now by the white, petulant product of a generation told to despise authority, education and religion, and to rely on the state. Tattooed gargoyles raised on antisocial entertainment, instant gratification, socialist dogma and empty materialism. The triumph of the meaningless, burning a city near you sometime soon. Be warned.

Last week, Toronto police officers chased 18-year-old student Junior Alexander Manon from a car near York University, ran him down, and then said he died of a heart attack.
Since then, the family’s lawyer, the well-respected Selwyn Pieters, attended the morgue and after reviewing the amount of blood on Junior’s body, his black eyes and a neck brace, said, “The issue of a heart attack is a fiction. It seems that he died from physical force.”
The Special Investigation Unit, a provincial body that investigates cases of serious injury or death when police are present, has identified the 10 police officers present when or immediately after the student was caught. No charges have been laid.
In situations like this, police officers get together, discuss what happened among themselves and then make notes that reflect what they have agreed on. It is almost unheard of for an officer to speak up and say, “I was there and what happened wasn’t pretty.” Usually, police officers find an explanation that shows it wasn’t their fault.
Maybe the SIU and Manon’s family will be able to track down independent witnesses who can confirm Pieter’s conclusions, but then it will be their word against the police.
Black youth are at risk because of racial profiling by Toronto police officers, as identified in Toronto Star articles published in February. They are stopped and charged much more frequently than white youth. And then there are incidents like this, which raise levels of frustration and anger.
What should black youth say? That police should stop racial profiling? Stop beating up black youth? Stop cooking their evidence? Would the police force listen and change its ways? Would the Police Services Board finally show some leadership?
Black youth in Toronto have been painted into a corner. What will happen next?

Police are on the hunt for a first-degree murder suspect in relation to Monday's shooting death of 17-year-old Mitchell Celise in the Oakwood-Vaughan area.
They’ve issued a Canada-wide warrant for 19-year-old Chael Mills, a suspected gangster who is considered armed and dangerous.
He's considered armed and dangerous - and is known to have gang affiliations.
Mills is black, 6-feet-tall, 180 pounds with brown eyes. Police say he's easy to spot because of a distinctive tattoo on his neck that reads, “B-T-T-W.”

Major Police Raids Sweep the Province

Dozens of pre-dawn raids took place at more than 80 locations across the province Monday morning.It's a team effort by the OPP, York, Peel and Toronto police. Kingston's tactical unit has also been called in for support.
There are also reports the Canadian Border Service has been involved.
Toronto police are heading the sweep, setting up three staging areas for the raids.
Dozens of people have been taken to custody to various police divisions including 12, 23, and 31.
One of the addresses hit was 2743 Victoria Park just north of Sheppard where police canine units were called in.
The raids are believed to be gun, gang, and drug related.

Toronto police are asking the public for help in identifying two suspects in an alleged subway robbery this weekend -- help that wasn't forthcoming at the time for the victim.ctvtoronto.ca
On April 24, a 79-year-old man was riding an eastbound subway train, police said Monday in a news release.
As the train approached Chester station, a man sitting next to the victim asked for some change.
When the 79-year-old said he didn't have any change, the suspect asked him again. A second suspect then asked the victim for change.
The victim tried to activate the passenger assistance alarm but couldn't reach it.
Police allege both suspects then grabbed hold of the victim and stole his wallet.
The victim fought with the suspects and called out for help, but no one on the subway came to his assistance, police said.
"It is disappointing," Brad Ross, a spokesman for the Toronto Transit Commission. "People may feel intimidated about getting involved."
It isn't clear how many people were on the train or why they ignored the scuffle.
Ross said had someone else pushed the yellow strip, it would have alerted the subway train's operator and guard. They in turn notify transit control and TTC security officials before the train arrives at a station.
"We do encourage customers, if they see another customer or passenger in distress -- whether it's a medical incident or a criminal occurrence -- to press the yellow strip," he said.
The two suspects ran out of Chester station with the victim chasing after them.
Police later found the wallet on Danforth Avenue.
The suspects are described as 20-year-old black males. They are described as 5-feet-8 tall and were wearing all black. The jackets of either one or both of the suspects featured a design or writing on the chest.
In February, a 23-year-old woman was robbed of her iPhone while sitting on an eastbound subway train at Dundas West station. Police announced Friday they are still looking for the public's help in their investigation.
Snatch-and-grabs involving portable electronics such as iPhones are relatively common, but Ross said the mugging of elderly passengers is rare.
Anyone with information about either crime is asked to contact police at 416-808-5400, or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-8477.

Two seniors were sent to hospital Friday after a violent jewellery store robbery in the city's west end, which occurred in broad daylight.ctvtoronto.ca
Police say two young men armed with guns stormed into Abreu Jewellers at 2400 Eglinton Avenue West around 1:40 p.m.
One suspect was carrying a shotgun and one was carrying a handgun. Both men are in their late teens or early 20s.
Police say the two suspects also bound the two store keepers with duct tape. The suspects then gathered up an unknown amount of merchandise before fleeing the scene.
During the robbery, police say that the 65-year-old male shopkeeper was bludgeoned with a gun. Afterward, he could be seen bleeding from his head.
The female co-worker, believed to be the man's wife, was also taken from the scene in a stretcher with serious injuries.
Both were being treated at Sunnybrook Hospital Friday evening. The injuries, though serious, aren't life-threatening.
Mary Genovese, who works at a shop located in the same strip mall, was shocked by the brazen, midday heist.
She also expressed disgust about the way the elderly couple was abused.
"What they did to them, it was awful," she said.
Police are now searching for two suspects, and officers were at the shop on Friday searching for clues, including possible DNA evidence.
Toronto Police Const. Isabelle Cotton added that the canine unit was also on the scene.
It is still unclear whether the suspects got away with jewellery or cash.
