Attention Left-Wing Fever Swamp: Is Dona Cadman Lying Now?
Now that Dona Cadman has cleared the air and confirmed everything Stephen Harper has been saying the past few days, I must ask the left-wing fever swamp the following question: “Are you calling Dona Cadman a liar?”

Personal Statement by Dona Cadman
I’m a little bit surprised at the level of reaction to the disclosures in Tom Zytaruk’s book and I guess that’s probably because it was put to rest in my mind, when I discussed the matter with Stephen Harper, 2 ½ years ago. At that time, I recall specifically asking him if he was aware of a million dollar insurance policy offer, that upset Chuck so much.
He looked me straight in the eyes and told me he had no knowledge of an insurance policy offer. I knew he was telling me the truth; I could see it in his eyes. He said, yes he’d had some discussions with two individuals about asking Chuck to rejoin the party, but he’d told them they were wasting their time trying to convince Chuck.
From that point forward…. I didn’t regard it as a “Party” initiative, but rather; the overzealous indiscretion of a couple of individuals…. whose identity, Chuck never revealed to me.
It all comes back to my conversation with the Prime Minister…. 2 ½ years ago. I want to be perfectly clear in that regard. Chuck liked, respected and trusted Stephen Harper. I like, respect and trust Stephen Harper. If I didn’t believe in my heart, that he was telling me the truth…. I wouldn’t be running as the Conservative Candidate for Surrey North.

oh my. So. Let's look at this with a little bit of sanity here now ok? 3 People, in Chuck Cadman's family have said Chuck was offered a million bucks in insurance as a bribe. That we know. Dona now says she looked into Harper's eye's, and believes him that he didn't know.
Ok, so, what are you suggesting. That we say oooh. Ok, we'll let it go now. Is this what you are suggesting?
Because, as far as I know, Dona is still saying her husband was offered a bribe. So, we still have a problem. "the overzealous indiscretion of a couple of individuals…" So, let me ask you a question. During te sponsorship scandal, Cretien, Martin, and other key Liberals all maintained their innocence that they didn't realize what was happening. There was no evidence to suggest that they did know. Certainly none that was brought forward, beyond the scoffs of the conservatives.
You expect me, and other Canadians to believe, that they didn't know? You expect me to believe, that 2 individuals, who had nothing to do with the party, tried to bribe someone with a million bucks to do something to benefit the conservatives, and the conservatives didn't know about it?
Is this, what you think we should believe?
Because, that, is the real question. Not is Dona lying. Because I don't think she is.
What insurance company would issue a policy for $1M on a person who had terminal cancer? Find an insurance company that would do so and I might believe this charge.
Walter you are asking the wrong person that question. How on earth would I know?
The fact is, all of Chuck Cadman's family have steadfastly maintained that they were told by him about it. His wife, his, daughter, and his son in law.
That sounds like a stock conservative answer tome.
I'm sorry after what we went through with the sponsorship scandal I don't feel -I- need to answer ANY questions. It is Harper who needs to answer questions about this affair, since he's the one who campaigned on accountability!!!
There are serious allegations made by members of his family, and they need to be dealt with. And I see you and other conservatives as doing their absolute best to drag your heels and defend your party. If Harper is innocent, then he should come forward and stop stonewalling and -answer questions!- NOW.
