Jack: Armageddon for the left?

Many years ago I took part in a police raid on a local bar that was doing a VERY brisk business and complaints were coming in about minors in the joint — a lot of them. That turned out to be true as we waited until the bar was jam packed one night – lineups at the door — and then did our thing.
Over 20 officers invaded the place and started checking ID.
As it turned out we charged nearly a hundred minors under the Liquor License Act (false ID was a big one). We also closed the bar and shortly thereafter it lost it’s license for 30 days. The bar never recovered and within six months it closed for good.

there is something to be gleaned from this. The right wing has discovered that 'joe six pack', or, in the Canadian conservatives case they call him 'dougie', this demographic is quite large, and all you have to do is feed them shit and they'll buy it. Harper proved that with flying colors in this recent election. Platform? They didn't need a platform, Releasing it days before the election proved no one gave 2 shits what their platform was, just tell what I need to believe and their negative advertising, and the job is done.
Pretty hard to argue with that.
Just look around this blog, and you can see a real live example of a half wit we can call 'dougie' that'll believe anything the conservative party tells him. In fact, notable that he never actually writes opinions other than a quick half liner, followed by each and every time, a cut and paste of what he is told. He'll call others losers, but will never actually express in any real detail other than another 'half liner' as to why.
