The Liberal Party of Canada will not select a new leader for another 10 months, but that didn’t stop letter writers this week from commenting on who it should be. Many of our columnists and reporters led that discussion, which peaked after Bob Rae’s surprise announcement on Wednesday that he would not be running for the party’s top job next April.
With Mr. Rae out of the picture, many eyes have turned toward Justin Trudeau, whom the Post and others have crowned “the front-runner.” This speculation does not sit well with some readers.
