WAS THE PERP LIVING HIS DREAM

The latest black "game" in AmericaThe game was called "point 'em out, knock 'em out," and it was as random as it was brutal.

The object: Target an innocent [white] victim for no other reason than they are there, then sucker punch him or her.

But on this day in Lansing, there would be no punch. The teen-age attacker had a stun gun. He did not know his would-be victim was carrying a legally concealed pistol.

The teen lost the game.

Surprising Canadian double standards

Hate speech against Jews and queers and blacks is bad but hate speech against individuals is OK?

It’s being called a crime of ignorance. But is it a hate crime?

Durham police have ruled out hate crime charges against the still-anonymous author of a vitriolic letter telling an Oshawa family they should “euthanize” their autistic son.

Experts, advocates and politicians say it’s the right call – and they don’t anticipate changing the law anytime soon.  “This is a crime of ignorance and a crime of stupidity, and I think it’s an exception rather than the rule,” said Liberal Sen. Jim Munson, an autism advocate.  “If we go out and have a vigilant group and circle the wagons and condemn somebody, I think it gets you nowhere.”

The criminal code includes the crime of hate propaganda, which is defined as advocating genocide, inciting hatred and promoting hatred.  But it only applies to hatred against “identifiable groups,” not individuals.

Toronto criminal lawyer Mark Sandler says the law is crafted in such a way that it applies to the most narrow kind of conduct.

He worries that broadening the scope to include individuals would lead to numerous court challenges threatening freedom of speech.

Apparently the kid makes disturbing noises that can be heard in nearby houses.  That would probably get on my nerves too. It seems that actual nuisances can't be prosecuted in Canada  -- only theoretical nuisances. The letter concerned is here.  What it suggests is extreme but underlying it may be a lack of available more moderate remedies.

Jerry Brown's Tough-Love California Miracle

The 75-year-old governor rescued the Golden State from financial ruin - and is reshaping a national progressive agenda

As wind turbines spin like massive, inverted egg-beater blades against the bluest California sky, Jerry Brown steps into the sun. Since he took office in 2011, Brown's hawklike brow has been cemented in a scowl as he battled to stave off bankruptcy for the Golden State. But as he high-steps to the microphone today, the 75-year-old governor is loose and smiling. Soon he's riffing about his first stint in Sacramento in the 1970s as "Governor Moonbeam," joking of the nickname, "I earned it with a lot of hard work!"

...the "memorial" depicts Jack Layton and his political position which was never "leadership" but rather a "back seat driver" who bailed out of any political  decision making. But to his credit he must hold the record for his wardrobe of ethnic costumes and for his diversity in the selection and consumption of ethnic food. IMHO A TRICYCLE MIGHT HAVE BEEN MORE APPROPRIATED.

BTW, I know their is no legal requirement, but wouldn't his statue have more relevant to youthful cyclists if he was wearing a HELMET?

...BUT  I think BCF, I know I do, recognize that these are a small group and if there is guilt to hand out it is to the majority in the community that allow this to happen for a number of reasons; cultural, retaliation by organized gangsta, cottage industries formed by social in-activists who are funded by tax $$$ and would have to get a job  if they dealt with the problems, etc,

"Besides, as I have written before, too many of the underclass enjoy the culture of poverty. They would feel horribly out of place in a tony subdivision where they would have to work to make a house and car payment, instead of drinking beer all day on the stoop ― they don’t even have stoops in the suburbs. They would have to cut their lawns and keep the trash and noise to a minimum. What fun is that? In the inner-city you can do whatever the hell you want. You can even shoot somebody, and chances are no one will rat you out, because that is the code of the inner-city streets, and people there hate the cops more than they hate the drug dealers."

Hollywood Rewriting History . . . Once Again

The new movie, The Butler, is getting rave reviews. Too bad it's not remotely historically accurate. But why bother with facts when you can rewrite history and take cheap shots at folks on the right?!
As Mona Charen points out in her latest column, The Butler is full of fiction, specifically designed to embrace The Left's ongoing narrative that conservative white folks are all racists who only treat blacks as token citizens. Here's a snippet:
The press resolutely ignores these figures, while the propaganda arm of the Democratic party in Hollywood serves up distorted history to distract and pacify the public. The latest entry appears to be The Butler, which misrepresents President Reagan (as I gather from those who've seen it) as, at best, insensitive to blacks, and at worst as racist. Eugene Allen, the actual White House butler on whom the film is supposedly based, kept signed photos of Ronald and Nancy Reagan in his living room (pictures of the other presidents he had served hung in the basement).

According to a 2008 Washington Post profile, Allen served eight presidents for 34 years until his retirement. He did not, as the movie portrays, resign to protest Reagan's policies on civil rights or South Africa. His wife happily reminisced to the Post about the time the couple were invited by the Reagans to attend a state dinner in honor of the West German chancellor. "Drank champagne that night," Mrs. Allen recalled with pleasure. The film apparently depicts the invitation as tokenism. The filmmakers also insert a horrific childhood "memory" for Allen -- his mother being raped and his father shot by a white landlord. Didn't happen.

There Seems To Be Virtually No Sweat...

as part of the bloodline of too many (Band Chiefs especially) Treaty People!

We Are All Treaty People

Colby Tootoosis;

The reasons why we have Land (not in an in ownership sense but in a Sovereign Nation sense), Treaties, and that we are even alive is because our ancestors refused to "get with the times". What does "get with the times" really mean, anyway? Does it mean to ignore the Consciousness of our bloodlines that is connected to our land and to identify ourselves with modern day colonial borders? Does it mean to participate with the abuse of the land by the extraction of resources and adopt same values as the colonist?
What happens and who gets the $$$ paid for the extraction of resources?
Does it simply mean ignoring our indigenous values all together? Quite honestly, "getting with the times" never made sense to me when it's used in a counter argument against those who are defending the land and following through in the inherit qualities and values of indigenous consciousness.
The reality is it is time to become the best we can possibly be and follow through with the certainty that we are Nations within a Nation. Part of that is denouncing the imposed identity that we are Canadian.

Refusing to accept the $6.5B sent from whitey in Ottawa is a start.

My friend Jodi Kechego articulated it well when he stated "My bloodline

Of course he is recognizing that there might be strains of French, British, Viking, etc. mixed in...

is inherently separate from Canada in that my ancestors have been here for literally thousands and thousands of years- as apposed three or four generations".

Dude, ten thousand years ago our ancestors were stone age peoples, too. We decided we didn't like it. But if that's what you want, that's cool. You can drop by on the weekend to return our wheel, metallurgy, electricity, antibiotics, and the internal combustion engine.
You can keep the horse.
