.....and for some reasons I get this gut feeling that those weeping for Kadhir probably also shed tears for cowards and deserters seeking refugee status.

The drama-queen response in the media to the Omar Khadr videotape out of Guantanamo Bay in 2003 -- with editorial writers, bloggers, and letter writers variously calling his treatment a "travesty," "nauseating," "appalling," "inhumane" -- entirely misses the point as to why the boy terrorist likely broke down in tears while being interrogated by Canadian authorities.

Giving airtime to sedition

Zaynab Khadr made an appearance on the John Oakley show this morning (audio here) and quite the piece of theatre it was. To Oakley's credit, he raked her over the coals pretty well but one has to ask why we keep granting airtime to seditious jihadists who use it to spread lies and propaganda, like...

Our family are dedicated Canadians who value the rule of law.

We sympathize with the victims of 9/11.

Just a victimized minority. A hapless Canadian who spent 2/3 of her life living in places like Pakistan and Afghanistan, only returning to Canada when her terrorists brother needed free health care, for the wound he received murdering American soldiers in Pakistan...and presumably to cash in her welfare cheques.

For want of a life less ordinary...
