No. of people willing to turn up to watch the 28th-place Toronto Maple Leafs lose yet again to the Florida Panthers in one of the dullest Saturday night hockey games in recorded history: 18,087 No. of people able to bestir themselves long enough to mount nationwide day of protest at prorogation of Parliament (figures from news reports): Toronto: 7,000 Ottawa; 3,500 Halifax: 500 Regina: 300 Winnipeg: 300 Calgary: 200 Vancouver: "Several thousand" (Let's be generous and say "several" means 4,000) Total (with a few smaller gatherings): 16,000-20,000
