I Didn't Say It........

Gay leaders have no respect for democracy.....

It's discouraging to see the leadership of the gay community run to support the coalition...
With a signed agreement between the Liberals and the NDP to form a coalition government under the leadership of Stéphane Dion, with the support of the Bloc Quebecois, progressives across the country are moving to show their support for the union.

Ottawa activist Ariel Troster is rallying support for the coalition.

"In terms of any possibility of making gains for our community, a coalition government is the best way to go," says Troster.

"More than 60 percent of the people voted against Stephen Harper in the last election," Troster points out.

Indeed, the actual number was rounded out to 38 percent support for the Conservatives, while the combined Liberal and NDP support works out to 44 percent, 54 percent if you include the Bloc.

"As far as I'm concerned, a coalition government has the clear mandate to govern," Troster adds.
Troster doesn't understand democracy and that's discouraging. The coalition has no mandate at all. They never faced the electorate with their plans - in fact, the people were clear that they didn't want Stephane Dion as Prime Minister. So, in order to make so-called 'gains' - gay leaders are willing to throw democracy out the window. Some leaders.

The Skinny said...

I am laughing, soooo hard at watching you conservative kool aid drinkers, scream, and yell, whine, an stamp your feet.

Not 4 years ago, SH signed a document with the ndp, AND THE BLOC, to do the very same thing.

It's both democratic, and constitutional. I may not have like to see SH head a coalition then, but what can you say when that's how our system works, and the then liberal minority lost confidence.

Ahhh the screaming. Best of all, is seeing Harper self destruct and totally alienate Quebec. The poll may show Canadians are uneasy with this shaky coalition in bad economic times, but come election time, Harper will pay dearly for his mouthing off on QUEBEC.

BUH BYE MAJORITY, ONCE AGAIN. Idiot.
