Michael Ignatieff was in Brantford the other night, not far from the town of Caledonia, where a three-year standoff between residents and natives from the Six Nations reserve has divided the town and ruined lives.
Wading into the issue, which has defeated every provincial, municipal and federal attempt at a solution so far, he declared that something absolutely must be done.“It’s very important not to say anything that would enflame the situation,” said Ignatieff, according to the Brantford Expositor.
