Pride's flip-flop draws darts
At least two mayoral candidates are accusing Pride’s organizers of “duping” city hall following a last-minute decision to allow a controversial group calling itself Queers Against Israeli Apartheid (QuAIA) to march in the July 4 parade.
...and the efforts of those "pioneers" have been hijacked by special interest groups and those efforts are funded by unwilling citizens.

In 1981, the 1,000 people who marched in Toronto’s first annual gay pride parade were the boldest of the community. They had to be. Earlier that year, police had arrested hundreds of gay men in bathhouse raids. Gays and lesbians faced pervasive......and the efforts of those "pioneers" have been hijacked by special interest groups and those efforts are funded by unwilling citizens.
