Adler Says To Not Trust Pollsters On Tax Cuts

I would expand that to; Don't trust pollsters until you see all the questions asked.

Charles Adler: Don't trust the pollsters on tax cuts
If you are paying taxes through the nose and listening to radio news, reading newspapers, going online, and watching TV, you must be getting somewhat sick and tired of hearing expert after expert and pollster after pollster telling you that you are selfish. They keep telling you that while you may want a tax cut, most people don't.
There are two secrets behind those polls. 1) They generally load the tax cut question with something like this: Would you like a tax cut or would you prefer that hospitals have enough doctors and nurses and medicine? 2) Many of the folks who respond to the pollsters tax cut questions don't pay taxes.
In the most recent case of a Leger Poll which spread the gospel that Quebecers don't want tax cuts, 42% of the respondents weren't paying taxes. Next time someone tries to tell you that Canadians don't want tax cuts, please understand they aren't talking about you. They are talking about the people you are supporting with your high taxes.
