The recent commitment by Progressive Conservative Leader John Tory to fund faith-based schools under the umbrella of public education, just like Catholic schools, has generated considerable discussion.

Opponents trot out the typical arguments, ranging from the fear-mongering "how will Ontario cope with a faith-based school on every corner?" to "why can't we just all educate our children in one big happy classroom?" It's high time to finally put these scare tactics to bed and start to deal with the real facts.
