what the hell kind of control could someone have being in a goddam mexican jail for 2 years without a trial? Are you that desperate top smear someone who could possibly be an embarrassment to you heroes???
The leak was illegal. Period. Someone in Harper land disliked the bad press so someone, had to make sure she looked bad.
If this person turns out to be absolutely innocent, Harper is going to get it on this one.

Regardless of the innocence of the party, that, is the problem.
The notion that Martin want to control anything is ridiculous. It is the LAW that what was released was to be confidential. But as we've sen so far, this government doesn't really care about those sorts of things do they...
