Canada could sorely use a Department of Peace.

It says so right here.

"A Department of Peace may sound mushy and soft-hearted, but it's actually a deeply, subtly revolutionary idea, in that it threatens to undermine the war-oriented mindset that dominates our culture."

Absolutely. What we need is a department of peace, to force countries caught in civil war to just stop ... just stop ... because if they don't listen we'll send in peacekeepers to do something about it. Like, well, I don't know ... something. Impose sanctions or something, because those always work so well. Look at Iran. Anyway, they can't shoot back because that wouldn't be peaceful, but, you know, it would be better than war.

I lean to the right but I still have a heart and if I have a mission it is to respond to attacks on people not available to protect themselves and to point out the hypocrisy of the left at every opportunity.MY MAJOR GOAL IS HIGHLIGHT THE HYPOCRISY AND STUPIDITY OF THE LEFTISTS ON TORONTO CITY COUNCIL. Last word: In the final analysis this blog is a relief valve for my rants/raves.
