Still A Great Place Just Control Your Inhaling

Chris Selley: What it's like to live in Toronto, Part 185

The Globe and Mail reports (with highly admirable snark):

Ontario's Environment Minister has okayed a major expansion of train traffic through the city's west end — including the long-awaited rail link between Toronto and Pearson airport — on condition the engines use a clean diesel technology that doesn't yet exist.

Again, for the record, there is an existing GO Train station 1.2 km from the end of Runway 23. 1,200 metres — one thirty-second of the length of the Channel Tunnel. This is the chasm that all of Toronto's money and perspicacity and will cannot bridge. It's farcical. We'll be commuting to Pearson in Jetsonian hovercars before we are by train.

About Me

My photo
I lean to the right but I still have a heart and if I have a mission it is to respond to attacks on people not available to protect themselves and to point out the hypocrisy of the left at every opportunity.MY MAJOR GOAL IS HIGHLIGHT THE HYPOCRISY AND STUPIDITY OF THE LEFTISTS ON TORONTO CITY COUNCIL. Last word: In the final analysis this blog is a relief valve for my rants/raves.
