...we have to ask:

*how many of those arrested will be out on bail in the next couple of days

*when will those arrested go to trial

*How many of those with multiple charges will receive concurrent sentences

*how long will it take to deport those that are in the country illegally?

Major Police Raids Sweep the Province

Dozens of pre-dawn raids took place at more than 80 locations across the province Monday morning.

It's a team effort by the OPP, York, Peel and Toronto police. Kingston's tactical unit has also been called in for support.

There are also reports the Canadian Border Service has been involved.

Toronto police are heading the sweep, setting up three staging areas for the raids.

Dozens of people have been taken to custody to various police divisions including 12, 23, and 31.

One of the addresses hit was 2743 Victoria Park just north of Sheppard where police canine units were called in.

The raids are believed to be gun, gang, and drug related.
