Like all those big-budget Hollywood movies that generate buzz but bomb at the box office, the Obama administration’s much-ballyhooed “Recovery Summer” closed Friday with a Labour Day weekend whimper.
The bad news came in the form an August employment report showing the U.S. economy generated just 67,000 new private sector jobs in August – tepid statistics that have the White House and Democrats headed into a fall of political peril.
